The 1st International Forum on Smart City in Albania
Adriapol Institute in cooperation with Marin Barleti University, under the High Patronage of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania, organised the 1st International Forum about Smart City. The event was held on 3rd and 4th of November at Hotel Adriatik in Durres.
The Forum aimed to provide a unique and interactive platform for discussion and challenging debate on the topic of ‘smart city’, creating the opportunity to bring together public and independent institutions, local and international organisations. This initiative formed the basis of an effective cooperation to put into practice innovative ideas from new infrastructure technologies, design and planning techniques towards the future development of the region, as well as its integration into the European Union.
Tirana Business Park supported the Forum as one of its official sponsors. The 3D model of this unique project displayed at this event was first visited by the Prime Minister of Albania, Mr. Edi Rama and Italian Ambassador to Albania, Mr. Massimo Gaianni, the mayor of Durres Mr. Vangjush Dako and later by other ministers and guests, who expressed that, “the project is an excellent example of how the smart cities should be”.
